New Yorkers Agree: Prince Harry Has His Mother's Charm

On his first official visit to the U.S., Prince Harry made Ground Zero his first stop. At the World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan, he laid a wreath of peonies and roses, both yellow and white, with a handwritten note attached. "In respectful memory of those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, and in admiration of the courage shown by the people of this great city on that day," it read. He signed it simply, "Harry."

The 24-year-old prince then bowed his head for several minutes at a spot overlooking the memorial site. After paying his respects, he met with the families of four 9/11 victims and toured both the site and the local firehouse. As he studied the plans for rebuilding the site, he asked an official, "Big question, when is this supposed to be finished?"

On a tight schedule during his two-day visit, the prince then departed to cries of "Bye, Harry!" from passersby and continued on to Hanover Square to plant a magnolia tree in the newly-dedicated British Garden. "I'm very happy to be in this beautiful garden in the heart of N.Y.C.," he told the crowd. "My family is so proud to be so closely associated with [the garden]."

As he piled dirt on the tree's roots, he laughed good-naturedly at the photographers who were angling for the best shot. When he turned his rear to the British press, he quipped, "You've got the best view!"

Asked by PEOPLE as he exited the garden how he liked New York, Harry, accustomed to London rain, replied, "It’s beautiful! The sun's shining!" When another reporter asked if he'd return to the city, he said, "I hope so!"

Before retreating to nearby India House for a private reception, Harry stopped to talk to onlookers. "I was awestruck," Nancy George said of her brief chat with the prince. "I always knew he was personable because of his mom but I didn't expect him to be so open and forward. He's very likable, very personable."

"He seemed like such a normal guy, very friendly very gracious," said Maura Sayers, who helped draw his attention by waving a British flag. "He definitely has his mother's charm."

On U.S. soil for the first time since he was a child, Harry is in town to play in the Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic on Governor’s Island. His goal is to raise money for Sentebale, the charity he co-founded to help the people of the impoverished southern African nation of Lesotho.

Denzel Washington

Denzel Washington has a well-earned reputation for being down-to-earth, and in the June issue of Reader’s Digest he suggests that it is his family who keep him humble. “I am who I am — a regular guy with a great job,” he says. “How I’m analyzed belongs to someone else.”

“In a few minutes, I’ve got a kid’s game to go to, and then I’m taking our daughter to auditions. Today, that’s my job.”

His days of shuffling his four children to and fro are quickly coming to an end, however, for John David, 24, Katia, 21, and 18-year-old twins Olivia and Malcolm are growing up before his very eyes! ”Right now I’m learning that they’re adults,” Denzel says, adding,

“I’m a talker; now I’m learning to shut up. It’s an interesting transition for me — and even more so for my wife, who for 25 years put everything into them.”

John, Katia, Olivia and Malcolm are Denzel’s children with wife Pauletta.

Russell Simmons' Girlfriend Gives Crass Blast on Race & Romance

I'll allow that I probably missed a few steps in keeping up with the latest goings on in Russell Simmons' love life. I know he and his superstar wife, Kimora, are no longer together and I knew Mr. Simmons was dating a tall blonde.

Beyond that who cares, right? I mean, I won't be spending any money on 'Rush Cards,' but more power to him.

With that said, I do think it's odd that said blonde, lady friend, Julie Henderson, has taken to the blogosphere to apologize for black poverty and in the same breath refer to other women as the b-word and warn them to 'step off.' Confused? Read her words for yourself. ...

I have been spending "special time" with Russell for about 4 months and in that time I have learned some subtle things about some in the black community that have surprised me.I must say that while it has been a bit of a challenge for me, it has also been a wonderful learning experience. I realize that in this day of Obama and change that there is still a tremendous amount of poverty, suffering and pain in the black community, and for that I am deeply sorry. Source: Young Black and Fabulous

Who is she apologizing to? And for what? She continues.

But, I have to say the angry responses to those realities are sometimes misdirected....Just for the record, I am nobody's white b*tch, gold digger or fame chaser. Nor am I any of the other mean things I have been called lately. I don't need anything from anybody, I come from a good family and I'm a young independent "successful" model making my way in NYC. (If you don't believe me google me or go to juliehenderson.net).

Finally, I just wanna say that Russell has been a great "special" friend and I'm sure as sh*t not giving him up cause some in America object to our friendship. I wanna close by saying, what Russell always says, Namaste. (That means the goddess in me recognizes the goddess in you)....Or, b*tch get your own man. Source: Global Grind

Pobre Julie. Thank you for offering such a carefully worded and articulate expression of the hardship you are enduring.

I am oh so sorry that there are mean people. Despite your confessed unfamiliarity with black issues, you must be a very quick study to now (after 4 months) be able to accurately distinguish random "misdirected" black anger from a personal beef that some particular females may have with you specifically.

By the way, what exactly is a "good" family? Just asking.

Brad Pitt

Life with Angelina Jolie is really rewarding
Thursday, 21 May 2009

It could have been a scene from one of their many box office hits.

Handsome leading man Brad Pitt, 45, pulled actress Angelina Jolie, 33, in close for a kiss at the after-party for his new film Inglourious Basterds in Cannes.

The couple, who had earlier been hand-in-hand on the red carpet at the premiere, continued to display tactile affection for one another away from the glare of the Croisette's many camera lenses.

Dressed in a stunning nude coloured Versace gown with a thigh-length split, Angelina looked every inch the screen siren - and was obviously relishing the chance for some rare couple time with Pitt.

Brad Pitt has hit back at rumors his relationship with Angelina Jolie is on the rocks.

The hunk says he loves sharing his life with the actress and their children Vivienne and Knox, 9 months, Shiloh, 2, Zahara, 4, Pax, 5 and Maddox, 7.

‘Right now, Angie has been working and I’ve gotten to be home a lot with the kids,’ he tells NBC’s The Today Show.

‘Let me be the cliche, it’s really rewarding. It’s really been about discovery, and finding new things and new things of interest. And the kids are certainly responsible for a lot of that. I’m right in the zone. One of the most on-track [times of my life].’

Brad Pitt

CANNES, France -- At last year's Cannes Film Festival, Angelina Jolie made a big splash, showing off her baby bump on the red carpet and revealing to "Today" she was having twins. This year though, it's her partner, Brad Pitt, who is garnering attention as he arrives to promote his role in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglorious Basterds."

Brad was spotted taking in the scenes at the France-based film festival on Saturday, according to People. The actor, in his trademark flat cap, was seen at Hotel du Cap for lunch.
He reportedly flew into the city over the weekend.

Brad's lady love, Angelina Jolie, is expected in the next several days, the mag reported.

Britains got talent 2009 Episode 5 Part 1 .

Kate Gosselin

PHILADELPHIA - Reality TV star Kate Gosselin lashes out at husband Jon in an extensive interview with People magazine that hits newsstands Friday.

But MyFoxPhilly has obtained the full interview in advance, which contains a few bombshells that contradict earlier statements made by the couple.

The biggest: Kate doesn't apparently believe Jon's statement that he didn't have an affair with Reading, Pa., school teacher Deanna Hummel.

"I don't think I know if I believe him," Kate Gosselin said about reports of Jon's affair with Hummel. "I don't think that I know the whole truth, and to be very honest, I don't think I ever will."
"My gut instinct says that he's mad that he got caught."

Kate Gosselin is very blunt about the couple's struggles for the past six months in the extensive interview.

"He's made bad choices. Things I would never ever chose for the father of my children to do."
In her public appearances last week, Kate Gosselin discounted the Us Weekly reports of the affair, while Jon Gosselin denied the affair is a statement released by cable network TLC.

But now, the gloves are off in the People magazine interview, and Kate is the one swinging.
The most glaring quote is when she was asked if she could imagine a life without her husband.
"You can't imagine yourself in a certain position when all this first happens, but you can do it over some months," she told People.

The Gosselins star in cable TV’s most popular show, but the Reading, Pa., area couple were hit with a huge dose of bad publicity last week.

Us Weekly ran an exclusive story about Jon Gosselin’s involvement with a Reading school teacher that the magazine said was backed up with five sources.

People did say that Kate Gosselin didn’t rule out a happy ending.

"I will never give up hope that every member of our family can be absolutely happy again," she says.
Us Weekly also reports that the couple could be getting as much as $1.5 million for the next 20-episode season, which starts in late May.

Cher Turns Back Time (AOL)

Known worldwide for her over-the-top fashion sense, and above all, her joie de vivre, Cher is an icon -- there's no doubt about that. In 1992, she donned a black bodysuit with so little material we'd hesitate to even classify it as an article of clothing.

Now, 17 years later at almost 63, Cher is back and better than ever -- in the same scandalous, leaves-nothing-to-the-imagination glittery getup.

Well, it's not quite the exact same garment. While it certainly looks almost identical, it does cover more of her *ahem* lady bits. Plus, the jacket it definitely shorter and the hair is even bigger -- who knew, it was possible?

But, the, "I'm way more fabulous than anyone else in Hollywood could ever even dream of being," attitude hasn't changed a bit. And rightfully so!

Victoria Priniciple - "Dallas" TV Show Fame- Bizzare Story

She's accused of trying to shoot her maid and now she's heading into space...welcome to Victoria Principal's bizarre world

After much costly dithering, Victoria Principal has finally settled on the design for the space suit she will don when she becomes one of the first celebrities to be launched into space.

The former Dallas actress is leaving nothing to chance for her journey into infinity.

She has decreed that not only must her astronaut's space suit complement her hazel eyes, it should also be cut to flatter her still enviable figure.
Meanwhile, to ensure she is in peak condition for the trip, the dedicated Miss Principal - who says she is 59, but whom some commentators believe to be 63 - is putting herself through a gruelling health and fitness regime.

After a minimum ten hours of beauty sleep, her day starts with a two-hour power walk on the beach in front of her Malibu home, followed by yoga and fat-burning resistance training.

But her public image faces serious damage from claims by family friends this week that the actress shunned her 85-year-old mother Ree Principal before she lost her seven-month battle with lung cancer four weeks ago.

Earlier this year, friends of widowed Mrs Principal are reported to have contacted her famous daughter to tell her how dire her mother's health had become. They were shocked to receive a curt email in reply: 'Sorry to hear about your troubles. God bless you.'

Sources in the U.S. stated this week that lawyers for the sacked maid - who alleges that during the row over the dog last Christmas, the actress told another employee to step aside so she could get a clear shot at Miss Banegas - are hoping to persuade Principal's 65-year-old former husband, plastic surgeon Dr Harry Glassman, to give evidence against her.

The couple divorced acrimoniously two years ago following a stormy 21-year marriage characterised by a series of violent rows.

Dom DeLuise Passes Away at Age 75

Dom DeLuise, the portly actor-comedian whose affable nature made him a popular character actor for decades with movie and TV audiences as well as directors and fellow actors, has died. He was 75.TMZ first reported the actor's death. According to the gossip site, DeLuise died at a Los Angeles hospital in his sleep.
Dean Martin & Dom Deluise

His son, Michael DeLuise, told Los Angeles TV station KTLA and radio station KNX that his father died Monday night. The actor, who loved to cook and eat almost as much as he enjoyed acting, also carved out a formidable second career later in life as a chef of fine cuisine. He authored two cookbooks and would appear often on morning TV shows to whip up his favorite recipes.
riter-director-actor Mel Brooks particularly admired DeLuise's talent for offbeat comedy and cast him in several of his films, including "The Twelve Chairs," "Blazing Saddles," "Silent Movie," "History of the World Part I" and "Robin Hood: Men in Tights." DeLuise was also the voice of Pizza the Hutt in Brooks' "Star Wars" parody, "Spaceballs."

The actor also appeared frequently in films opposite his friend Burt Reynolds. Among them, "The End," "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," 'Smokey and the Bandit II," "The Cannonball Run" and "Cannonball Run II."

Reynolds released a statement to Entertainment Tonight on his friend's death.
"I was thinking the other day about this. As you get older you think about this more and more, I was dreading this moment. Dom always made everyone feel better when he was around. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. I will miss him very much," the 'Deliverance' star says.
Aside from his Hollywood and kitchen duties, he was also the author of two children's books.
